A Taste of Taiwanese Hospitality
TCML-GMA recently hosted a special cultural event titled “Reviving Ban-Doh Culture: A Taste of Taiwanese Hospitality.” The program combined a vibrant cultural experience with in-person Mandarin conversation practice, inviting students to discover the warmth and tradition of Taiwan’s beloved Ban-Doh — the outdoor banquet that brings communities together through shared food and celebration.
During this immersive event, participants enjoyed an array of authentic Taiwanese dishes while experiencing the spirit of togetherness and generosity that Ban-Doh embodies. The lively, welcoming atmosphere encouraged students to practice Mandarin in real-life interactions, connect with one another, and deepen their appreciation for Taiwanese culture.
By blending food, language, and community, TCML-GMA continues to offer meaningful learning experiences that celebrate Taiwan’s rich traditions and foster cross-cultural exchange within the local community.
