Taiwanese cuisine & culture activities

TCML-GMA arranged a luncheon class combining Taiwanese cuisine and cultural activities for the students. The lunch menu contains fried rice noodles, braised soy sauce eggs (Lu Dan), stewed chicken and daikon-fish cake soup. The students, teachers, staff and our OCAC guests enjoyed the lunch together and shared the experience of learning Mandarin. 

After the Taiwanese style lunch, OCAC Houston office presented the “Splendor of Taiwan: Tour and Exhibition”. There were presentations on the tea culture, Moon Festival, a mooncake tasting and a hands-on experience with mung bean cake making. We also carved the pomelos and made the pomelo hats for everyone to experience or recall the childhood memories. This was such a great and fun afternoon. The TCML students didn’t just attend an event; they became a cherished part of our ever-growing family. s
